Housed in a beautiful building, the Albany Institute of History and Art appeals to all with traveling shows of American Impressionists, contemporary “iceberg” paintings and a mummy room with real specimens to delight the kids.

Washington Park, Albany’s answer to Central Park, serves as a meeting place for various seasonal festivals. In 1998, The American Association of Architects named Washington Park as one of the nation’s 100 most important parks.
Capital Hills, Albany’s favorite golf course is packed on Sunday mornings as duffers of all abilities try to avoid the old trees and numerous sand bunkers that protect the greens.
