Just ten minutes from Disney, the Reunion Resort is home to three legendary courses and Annika Sorenstam’s first and only golf school.

The golf school serves all ages, either individually or in a small groups as well as a fitness programs for various skill levels.  The 5,400-square-foot facility, including a  Callaway Performance Center sit along the 18th hole of the Watson course.  The Player’s program at The Annika Academy is designed for guests who only want a few hours of golf instruction, followed by a round of golf.

The Tom Watson track features rough and tumble fairways and sizable mounds reminiscent of courses across the pond. The Jack Nicklaus parkland layout tempts golfers to hit risky shots from elevated tee boxes, where several well-planned shots will work better. Arnold Palmer’s Legacy course offers elevation changes of up to 50 feet from six tee boxes.

A selection of condos, villas and an aqua park also make Reunion a good destination for groups and families.

Not to be outdone, Saddlebrook Resort in the Tampa Bay area sports two Palmer courses complete with cypress, pines and palms. His namesake course offers undulating and well-guarded greens surrounded by lakes, streams, and ponds. Fans of “target golf” will appreciate the tight, tree-lined fairways of the Saddlebrook course with water on most holes.

Saddlebrook’s expanding golf academy led by the Bann/Lynch Golf team, is famous for turning junior golfers into PGA tour players.

It includes an indoor putting lab and two golf studios devoted to advanced swing analysis.
